POOLSIDE RAILS

Where Paper Crafting and  Model Railroading Collide

Volvo fans unite! Herpa released a new HO scale model of the ubiquitous Volvo 1800 on October 20, 2011. In all, Volvo made about 40,000 of these sharp little sportsters. If you’re of an age, you’ll remember that Simon Templar drove one in The Saint on television.

You can get your 1800 in either pearl white or metallic blue.  Herpa lists two products in their online catalog: item 024907 at 8 euros and item 034906 at 9 euros. The difference between the two? It’ll cost you a euro to find out, because it doesn’t show up on the website.

In either case, this sharp little roadster will look right at home on any modern era model railroad layout.

For more information visit your hobby retailer, visit our Resources Page, or swim on over to the Herpa site.
